Safety matters in everything everyone does. Even as pedestrians, it is important to look both ways before crossing the street. Even when the walk signal says it is safe to cross, it is still wise to stay aware of your surroundings. A car can come speeding through an intersection, and some drivers may not be paying full attention. Sadly, accidents can happen. Being aware and staying alert can help save lives.
